The National Academy of Policy (NAP) is a private, non-profit society of distinguished scholars.Established by an Act of Congress, signed by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863, the NAP is charged with providing independent, objective advice to the nation on matters related to national policy.The National Academy of Policy whose mission is to conduct in-depth, nonpartisan research to improve policy and governance at local, national, and global levels.
